Graphic Communication Design BA Honours
As a discipline, graphic design excels in its capacity to fluidly respond to the changes in a way societies communicate both globally and locally to promote a better understanding. Technologies often function to support this via new ways of interacting and learning. The pandemic has required agile responses from our 2023 graduating cohort demonstrating the importance of graphic design practice and how it forms an understanding of the world around us.
Despite these challenging times, our students have produced a range of relevant and insightful design projects that demonstrate breadth, depth and innovation in approach. Their independence and design engagement came to the fore.
Within a course that is multidisciplinary by nature, critically engaged and supportive of individuality, these students have engaged their practice with rigour and intelligence. Our BA Graphic Communication Design course provides an environment where young designers can explore their voices across a wide range of ideas and subject disciplines; employing research, experimentation and the application of design technologies.
The projects on show here are the culmination of three invested years of study, and it has been hugely rewarding to work alongside these committed and engaging individuals.
- Please note that in 2022, the Graphic Communication Design BA Honours course was revalidated and retitled ‘Graphic Design BA Honours’.
