Contemporary Media Practice BA Honours
Our Contemporary Media Practice BA challenges students to develop cutting-edge approaches to media arts, with an emphasis on innovation and emerging creative technologies. The course gives students the opportunity to work across media disciplines, preparing them for a dynamic and ever-changing media landscape. Graduates have a wide range of career options in the creative industries, such as content production across interactive media, immersive technologies, CGI and VFX, video game design, film, experience design and emerging technologies including Artificial Intelligence and the Metaverse.
Our unique course combines traditional art school approaches to creative practice – where students develop skills in critical thinking, innovation and contextual awareness – with industry-level professionalism. This approach enables students to develop engaging practical projects and to participate in contemporary cultural debates through an awareness of the political, ethical and aesthetic implications of their work.
For their Final Major Project, students typically create a wide range of work engaging with distinctive project themes and media production methods. This year is no different and the cohort have shown great initiative, resourcefulness, and creativity in the development of their graduate projects. We are delighted that you can celebrate their success with us.
