Covering a wide range of media, student work on the one year Foundation in Art and Design Programme exemplifies the range of practices offered. This prepares students for progression to one of six specialist host courses within Westminster’s School of Arts (BA Fine Art Mixed Media, BA Photography, BA Contemporary Media Practice) or Westminster School of Media and Communication (BA Animation, BA Illustration, BA Graphic Design).

The Foundation year develops the essential principles used across contemporary creative fields, with the annual exhibition a culmination of independent work that demonstrates skills learned throughout the year. From performance to portraiture, mixed media to moving image, text to textiles, design to illustration, photography to immersive media, these creatives work with curiosity, candour, and criticality.
